Sundance

All the members of Sundance have been around the folk and music scene for many, many years (in fact they have clocked up over 200 years making music between them!) going their own ways, playing either solo or with other groups but getting back together under the guise of Sundance to play the music that they all enjoy; 50's "Rock & Roll", "Skiffle" and "Goodtime" music. It's easy to understand why it's known as Goodtime Music - for you'll never see anyone at a Sundance concert without a smile on their face and the tunes and songs will haunt you all the way home and on into following weeks..... (web site: www.sundance-uk.com)
The line-up consists of:-
Ian Gartside - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar and Nostalgia. Stalwart of the folk scene since the 50/60's, still playing in several line-ups and solo, and still without the aid of a safety net.
Pete Skinner - Rockabilly Electric Banjo and Vocals. Again a name dating back to the 50/60's folk and C&W scene, still playing and singing in various groups and for his own amazement.
Dick Grothusen - Percussion and Historical Data. Well known on the local folk scene from the 70's for his comic compositions, singing and playing his ukulele banjo.
Barrie Parker - Upright String Bass. "Big Band Member" who now plays melodeon with, amongst others, the Singleton Cloggers and the Wyre Pier Band.
Mike Slattery - Lead & Rhythm Guitar. Who says Slattery will get you no where? Mike has played with many of the top groups over the years and brings with him the expertise and love of the guitar.
