  • Fylde Folk Festival 2000

The golden sands and the bracing sea breezes have made the Fylde Coast famous. As a popular holiday centre, the Fylde continues to present a wide range of entertainment, with appeal to all, and appealing to many is the now internationally known Fylde Folk Festival which takes place in the old Lancashire fishing port of Fleetwood over the weekend of 1st, 2nd, 3rd September, 2000. Over the years thousands of Folk Fans, from all over the United Kingdom and the World, have flocked to the coast to enjoy this great celebration of Folk Music, Song and Dance.

Now in its twenty eigth year, the Fylde Folk Festival attracts people of all ages and all walks of life. Over the years too, the local community has become very much involved with the festival and local people enjoy the music and the friendly atmosphere in the various venues throughout the weekend, so in conjunction with the Tourist department of Wyre Borough Council, the festival organising committee is pleased to announce extra and very special pre festival events will be staged once again in 2000.
