Ian Gartside

Ian is a local man with a long history on the folk scene, both solo and in countless combinations with other musicians - see entries under The Ederly Brothers, Sundance, Fleetwood Mashers et al. He was one of the founder members of Fleetwood Folk Club back in the 60's.
Ian is a fine performer whether it's Traditional Folk Music or Rock and Roll and an excellent compere. A friend of the Falcon.

Ikarus Folk Dance Ensemble

The Ikarus Folk Dance Ensemble are from the town of Szekesfeharvar (pronounced Sekisveevar), just about one hours drive from Budapest in Hungary. They take the name from the Ikarus Bus Company, which is largest producer of buses in Hungary and Eastern Europe. All the members of the ensemble work for the company.


Inclognito

The members were Bram Taylor from Leigh; Jackie Finney from Adlington and me Dave Dutton from Atherton. We were a comedy folk group. I won the festival's Lancashire Dialect poetry competition twice. We split up in about 1992 after about 10 years. Bram, of course, pursues a solo career as sometimes does Jackie. I do a bit of acting (had six different parts in Corrie). Our previous member of Inclognito was Eric White from Leigh. - Dave Dutton August 1999


Ira Bernstein

Ira Bernstein specializes in Appalachian flatfooting and clogging, English and French-Canadian clogging styles, Irish step dancing, tap dancing, cajun social dancing, swing and jitterbug styles as well as a synthesis of all f these into a style that is uniquely his own. Ira is also an accomplished southern-style and Cajun fiddler and prolific tunesmith.


Iron Men & Severn Gliders

Mens and Womens teams from Shropshire, usually to be found working together. They have developed a reputation for exciting and highly entertaining dance displays. Both teams show an obvious enjoyment in their dancing which is always backed by some powerful music.


Isaac Guillory

Isaac Guillory is widely regarded as one of the best acoustic guitarists in Britain. As a highly experienced session musician he is respected for his versatility, and has recorded with a diverse variety of artists.


Isla St.Clair

Isla learned from her childhood in the north east of Scotland, the traditional fishing songs her family sang, as well as songs written by her mother Zetta, who greatly influenced Isla's love of music and singing. Flourishing in the folk revival of the '60s. Isla served her apprenticeship listening to and singing with some of the finest Scotish traditional singers.
