Garstang Morris Dancers

Formed in 1970 by people drawn from the folk clubs in the North West, Garstang Morris Dancers have established themselves as on of the most exciting morris teams in the Country.


Garva

The name Garva comes from the ancestral home of the famous "Black Family" on the Rathlin Island off the Antrim Coast. The group who are based in Liverpool and are one of the North West of England's top Irish groups, were formed in 1990, originally just to perform at that year's Wigan Folk Festival. The acclaim they received that weekend convinced them to continue together as a group.

Gary and Vera Aspey

Gary and Vera became full-time professional artists in April, 1974 which makes Fylde 1999 their 25th anniversary year. Veterans of the first and may subsequent Fylde Folk Festivals, their experience and performance content has taken them over the years to many varied venues including Folk Clubs, Art Centres, Theatres, PTA and Sports Clubs, Round Table & Masonic meetings, TV & Radio and location throughout the world.


Geoff Higginbottom

After eight years on the folk scene Geoff Higginbottom took the plunge in September 1986 and decided to turn full time. Geoff plays six and Twelve string guitar, bodhran and appalachian dulcimer as well as singing unaccompanied.


Geoff Hughes

Geoff Hughes is a clog dancer who dances in the great Lancashire tradition. He has appeared at many festivals and events winning many major clog dancing championships and became Lancashire & Cheshire Clog Dancing Champion.


George Faux

George has been a professional musician since 1979 and has toured Britain and Europe extensively as a member of various bands, notably, Hom Bur, Shegui, Red Shift and The Tannahill Weavers. George has appeared on several albums and is one of the best solo performers in Britain. Although best known for his fiddle playing, George is an exceptional mandolin player, guitarist and and a great singer.


Going Dutch

John, Steve and Uncle Ian sing a great deal. Ian sometimes has more sense and the three part harmonies become two. However everyone always has a good time. They have a wide repertoire of music and particularly enjoy songs from north of the border.

Gypsy Reel

Described as 'Celtic Music with an overdrive', Gypsy Reel play high-energy, stirring music rooted in the Celtic tradition but garnered from the whole world.
